Sales engineer

KEES, Incorporated has an immediate opening for an experienced Sales Engineer. Responsibilities include providing technical and quotation assistance to our customers and developing new products or improving existing ones. The ideal candidate will have an engineering degree, an interest in mechanical things and a strong computer background. Position Summary

Our engineers are the interface between KEES and our customers. They help answer technical questions about our products and offer suggestions on customized or special products. Here are the resources we use to complete these tasks:

  • Tap into the knowledge base of our highly qualified sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams
  • Engineering database consisting of CRM system (containing brochures, data sheets and test reports) and of CPQ system (containing configurator, material and labor costs and quote templates)
  • Reference materials such as ASHRAE, Industrial Ventilation and AMCA Fan manuals

They also regularly interact with our manufacturing personnel to determine how to customize existing products or how to design and develop new ones. There is close collaboration throughout this process.

Education/experience required

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent job experience
  • Preferred Experience: 5 years in the HVAC industry as an engineer or as a sales rep
  • Required Training: Extensive understanding of mechanical processes, cost estimating and software usage

Work environment

  • Primarily an office position with frequent exposure to shop environment
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, and move about facility
  • Minimal Travel (Industry shows, equipment reviews, customer visits)
