ECONOMIZER (SUMMER/WINTER) OVERHEAD GREASE EXHAUST HOODS

Energy Saving Economizer (Summer/Winter) hoods introduce untempered outside air directly into the hood (in the same manner as KS-100 hoods) and/or into the kitchen through adjustable air outlets in the face of the hood, thus reducing room air exhaust, providing “no cost” cooling and lowering energy usage.  This concept may be used when code requirements for exhaust air exceed the amount required to fully exhaust the smoke, heat and grease generated by the cooking equipment.
