KITCHEN HOODS
ENERGY SAVING RETRO-FIT KITS

   Energy Saving Retro-Fit kits provide a means to convert existing exhaust only hoods to Energy Saving/Short Cycle type hoods, resulting in the introduction of untempered outside air directly into the hood, reducing room air exhaust and lowering energy usage. This concept may be used when code requirements for exhaust air exceed the amount required to fully exhaust the smoke, heat and grease generated by the cooking equipment.

STANDARD CONSTRUCTION

Retro-Fit kits are constructed of 18 gauge, type 304 stainless steel with a satin polish and are NSF listed. Exterior continuously welded seams are ground and polished to match the original finish of the material. Supply air is delivered to the interior of the hood through patented adjustable air nozzles (U.S. Patent No. 4,117,833). The supply air plenum has a full length perforated metal air distribution plate and is insulated with 1", 3# density rigid aluminum foil faced insulation with all joints hot sealed with aluminum foil tape.

OPTIONS AND ACCESSORIES

Available options include: factory installed collars, painted hood exterior, painted galvanized steel construction, top enclosures, and nozzle only construction for use with field supplied plenum.

SIZE AVAILABILITY

Retro-Fit kits are available in a single section in any increment of length from 3' to 12' (longer lengths are obtained by butting multiple sections together utilizing factory supplied welded joint covers). The height can vary in any increment from 10" to 30".
